TEC Basic

In recreational diving configuration you will learn the first basics for the TEC area.

Training content

The TEC Basic course is a basic training course for sports equipment with a mono cylinder, double unit or sidemount and an additional stage cylinder.

The course is particularly suitable for you if you are looking for special knowledge outside of traditional recreational diving, but do not want to go straight into classic TEC diving.

The course focuses mainly on better buoyancy/trim, finning techniques, team awareness and controlled ascents with and without the use of a surface buoy. The basics of faulty equipment and loss of breathing gas are practiced. The course can be conducted with recreational diving equipment. For a later entry into TEC diving, you can upgrade to the TEC Fundamental level through a performance assessment and an update in equipment configuration and diving technique.
