Course Director


Training content

The i.a.c. Course Director is the highest level of training and the link between the i.a.c. Diver Training and the i.a.c. Head Office. As i.a.c. Course Director you decide on the success or failure of the participants in instructor seminars.

You qualify as a candidate for the i.a.c. Course Director by attending a qualifying leadership seminar with the following content:

  • Philosophy and standards
  • Organization of instructor seminars and content of instructor training
  • Judgment
  • Relationship management
  • General update

OVERVIEW

After certification, you are authorized to carry out the following training courses:

  • Acceptance authorization of the i.a.c. Specialties
  • Conducting an Instructor Examination (IE)

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 25 years
  • Proof of health status
  • Proof of Instructor Trainer or comparable
  • Valid instructor or base liability insurance
  • Proof of at least three years of active employment
  • Participation in at least one Instructor Examination
  • Proof of at least three successfully trained scuba instructors within the last 36 months or participation as an instructor trainer in at least three IEs
  • Proof of commercial work as a diving instructor with proof of own DiveCenter according to the i.a.c. Requirements for an Instructor Training Center
