Training content

This beginner’s course is suitable for all those who want to get to know the underwater world in a quieter way or simply get to know freediving. Participants will be familiarized with the basics in theory and practice for freediving.

Theoretical training

  • Freediving safety rules
  • Medicine (breathing technique, blackout, pressure equalization, barotrauma, rescue chain, etc.)
  • Diving physics (pressure & volume)
  • Training methods (conventional methods, mental exercises)
  • Breath relaxation technique
  • Practice/securing technique (lanyard)
  • Risks
  • Equipment

Practical training

  • Adjusting equipment in the swimming pool and open water
  • 60 seconds time dive
  • 25m distance diving
  • 5 – 10m deep diving

Prerequisites

At the start of the course:

  • Minimum age 12 years
  • Proof of swimming ability
  • Proof of health status
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
