Junior Diver


Make your first dive and discover the mysterious underwater world together with your i.a.c. instructor.

Training content

In the i.a.c. Junior Diver course you will get to know the different parts of your diving equipment and together with your instructor you will make your first diving experiences. You will also learn interesting and important things about underwater animals and plants, how to use your diving equipment correctly, how to behave underwater and much more.

Theoretical training

  • Get to know and describe diving equipment
  • Describe dive
  • Name some UW animals & plants & know some dangerous species
  • Know the dangers of diving
  • Know and use elementary scuba diving hand signals

Practical training

  • ABC exercises & water/nasal reflex
  • Correct handling of the equipment
  • Assembling and disassembling the diving device
  • Putting on and taking off the equipment in the correct order
  • Pay attention to and react to the trainer’s signs
  • Correct Ascending and descending
  • Control and safety stop
  • Pressure equalization
  • Remove the mouthpiece, blow out the mask, put the mouthpiece back in your mouth and continue breathing
  • Perform all exercises calmly without rushing

Overview

After the Junior Diver you can continue with diving courses in many i.a.c. DiveCenter, which specialize in diving with children. We wish you lots of fun exploring the underwater world.

Prerequisites

At the start of the course:

  • Minimum age 8 years
  • Proof of swimming ability
  • Proof of health status
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
