The i.a.c. CCR Basic Instructor teaches the introduction to CCR rebreather diving.

Training content

The i.a.c. CCR Basic Instructor teaches the introduction to CCR rebreather diving. This instructor level forms the basis for all further rebreather courses. The CCR Basic Instructor course focuses primarily on the simple and direct introduction to CCR rebreather diving without decompression. The CCR Basic Instructor candidate must master the theoretical and practical contents/philosophies at a high level. The instructor is only taught the basics of CCR rebreather beginner training.

Qualification after course completion

  • Training and certification of TEC Basic students in the zero-time area
  • max. 30m diving depth during training

Prerequisites

At the start of the course:

  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Proof of health status
  • Proof of i.a.c. Open Water Instructor or comparable
  • Postgraduate certificate via i.a.c. Nitrox Instructor or comparable
  • Proof of i.a.c. Nitrox Advanced or comparable
  • Proof of i.a.c. Trimix Light or comparable
  • Valid instructor liability insurance
  • At least 150 electronically logged CCR hours, including at least 100 hours on the instructor device
