Trimix CCR

The CCR Trimix course is an advanced training course for divers without a deco limit.

Training content

The Trimix CCR course is for people who want to further their theoretical and practical training for project-related diving. You will be trained in advanced theory and practice for longer dives with inboard and outboard trimix mixtures and bail out with 3 x deco gases. For the bail-out mixtures, the pO2 of the base gas must be max. 1.1 bar and the pN2 between 3.2 and 3.6 bar. For the deco gas, the pO2 can be max. 1.6 bar.

Project-oriented diving means more preparation and planning, this knowledge is taught in the Trimix CCR course. In the CCR field, there are different techniques for dealing with gases and configurations in open water, wrecks or caves. The Trimix course teaches the basics.

Training objectives

  • Advanced trimix training with surface-breathable trimix mixtures
  • Problem solving – floating and ascending
  • Solving multiple errors with tight deadlines
  • Handling of 3 stage cylinders with trimix, nitrox and O2 gas exchange, incl. deco gas redundancy
  • Advanced deco training with oxygen, nitrox and trimix mixtures
  • Making training measurable
  • Advanced Deko TEC training
Limit after successful course completion
  • Maximum depth 75 meters
  • No limit on decompression times

Prerequisites

At the start of the course:

  • Minimum age 21 years
  • Proof of health status, not older than 2 years
  • Proof i.a.c. Normoxic Trimix CCR or comparable, according to current i.a.c. equivalence list
  • Electronic logbook proof of at least 110 CCR diving hours, including 30 deco dives and 20 deeper than 40m
