Training content

Theoretical training

  • Avoid accidents by eliminating risk situations
  • Recognize and assess stress and accident situations
  • Rescue, recovery and transportation techniques
  • First aid measures and resuscitation
  • Rescue and signaling material
  • Rescue chain
  • Preparation of a dive and accident log

Practical training

  • Diver in panic
  • Assistance for an “exhausted”, “injured” or “unconscious” diver on the surface of the water
  • Assistance for an “exhausted”, “injured”, “unconscious” diver under water
  • Rescue and transportation of an “accident” diver ashore
  • Rescue and transportation of an “accident” diver into a boat or ashore
  • First aid measures through to resuscitation
  • Triggering the rescue chain

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 15 years old
  • Proof of health status
  • Proof of Open Water Diver or comparable
  • Proof of Advanced First Aid (not older than 2 years)
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
