Specialty Dry Suit Diving


Here you will learn how to use a drysuit so that you can also cope well in colder waters.

Training content

In the Specialty Dry Suit Diving you will be familiarized with the operating and movement techniques for diving with dry suits.

Theoretical training

  • Development of dry diving
  • Insulation properties and heat balance
  • Design and construction of the different suit types
  • Functionality and performance characteristics of the various components
  • Operation and handling (practical)
  • Exercises with the dry suit
  • Maintenance and care

Practical training

  • Buoyancy exercises on the surface and in shallow water
  • Descent without or with low air supply with subsequent stop using the inflator
  • Ascent under controlled air release via the vent valve with simulated decompression pause
  • Ascent with fin stroke without adding air to the suit
  • Ascent overhead and turning around during the ascent (fins down)

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 12 years old
  • Proof of Open Water Diver or comparable
  • Proof of health status
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
