Here you will also learn how to dive safely at depth.
Training content
In the Specialty Deep Diving, you will be taught the content of deep diving and underpinned by specific practical exercises. During the corresponding dives, you will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge under supervision and gain relevant deep diving experience.
Theoretical training
- Risks of deep diving
- Air, time and decompression calculations for deep diving according to the table
- Importance of ascent stops: Deep stop, safety stop, and decompression stop
- Legal and technical requirements for deep diving
- Identifying and solving problems specific to deep diving, e.g. nitrogen narcosis, (emergency) ascent from greater depths
- Organization and safety of dives
Practical training
- 2 dives between 18m and max. 40m, depending on the dive site (see above), visibility and water temperature
- Conducting a briefing, taking into account the specific risks of deep diving
- Diving with a dive computer and monitoring of saturation and desaturation, “approaching” the no-decompression limit.
- Timely and planned ascent taking into account different ascent speeds, including deep stops and safety stops.
- Debriefing
