Training content

In the Specialty Environmental Diver you will learn about the flora and fauna of a wide variety of waters and learn about the interplay of life forms as well as optimized diving techniques to protect them.

Theoretical and practical training

  • Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of diving in various underwater environments (fresh and salt water)
  • Overview of the systematics of the main underwater life forms (freshwater and marine)
  • Fact-based information to debunk myths about potentially dangerous life forms (freshwater and marine)
  • Overviews of the interaction and connection of underwater life forms
  • Responsible human interaction with underwater life
  • Diving techniques that help protect life forms on the bottom and minimize disturbance to underwater life

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 12 years old
  • Proof of health status
  • Proof of Open Water Diver or comparable
  • For minors, a declaration of consent from a parent or legal guardian is required
