    This Dive Center meets the following specifications.

    The first and only German diving center directly in the UW nature reservehas been in existence for over 37 years. The huge, fish-rich house reef is sheltered on the south coast of Madeira with a hotel and swimming complex. Due to the high standard and excellent service, it is the only base with ISO certificationin the Atlantic. 17 x nominated and 9 x winner of the “Diving Award” – that stands for reliability and good organization. The nearby Gulf Stream with itstropical influence makes diving here an experience!

    Living

    The Galo Resort Hotels (Galosol**** and the newly built diving hotel Galomar****) are located close to the base, directly 60 meters above the cliff. In addition to the fantastic Overview of the rocky coast and the Atlantic Ocean, there are many ways to spend an active vacation. A large wellness and spa area, fitness center, indoor/outdoor pools and the only hotel swimming pool directly in Madeira's UW nature reserve guarantee an "all-round holiday feeling".

    Base

    The diving center is under German management and is located directly on the beach of the Galomar/Galosol Hotel. Thanks to its central location, the center is easily accessible from all hotels in the resort. Regularly new rental equipment, an aluminum speedboat, Nitrox membrane system including CO2 reducer, scooter rental (Bonex), two drying rooms and a familiar, professional service stand for reliability. Training and further education is carried out according to i.a.c., VDST, SSI and PADI. Guided dives are offered daily and experienced divers can explore the house reef from 5-33 meters deep on their own. Four of the top sites, which are also perfect for freedivers, snorkelers and families, are located directly in front of the base.

    Diving

    A top highlight is the easy house reef diving directly in the underwater nature reserve - the jagged lava finger with a small cave, the arena with a tunnel and the
    cave, the arena with tunnel, the Ponta da Oliveira drop off and the large cave offer all sorts of things for beginners and experienced divers. All house reef spots can be reached within a minute's walk. They are protected from the wind and waves in front of the Ponta da Oliveira cliff. Boat trips to the top spots, such as the famous Cap Garajau with its large, tame groupers etc., can be reached in a short time. The Gulf Stream and the protection of the underwater nature reserve ensure a great diversity of species: barracudas, trigger, puffer, parrot and trumpet fish, pipe eels, rays and, with a bit of luck, monk seals and manta rays right on the house reef. Another brand-new top spot is the 85-metre-long wreck "Corvete Afonso Cerqueira".
