    This Dive Center meets the following specifications.

    Small diving island in the North Ari Atoll with one of the best dive sites in the Maldives! Bathala is a legend among diving islands and was completely renovated and redesigned in June 2019. In the shape of a mirror egg, the island lies between two channels on the east side of the North Ari Atoll, surrounded by a beautiful sandy beach and a fantastic house reef.
    The island is 270 m long and 150 m wide. In the immediate vicinity of the island are many of the best dive sites in the Maldives, with a fantastic variety of corals and large fish. The transfer takes about 25 minutes by seaplane.

      Base

      The diving center, managed by Diving Centers Werner Lau, is geared to the wishes and needs of the guests and is equipped with high-quality equipment from renowned manufacturers.
      A sufficient amount of rental equipment is available. Of course, diving with Nitrox is also possible free of charge at Bathala. As at all Werner Lau diving centers worldwide, the team at Bathala also attaches great importance to stress-free diving training. Diving courses are regularly offered according to i.a.c. and SSI guidelines, and diving courses according to PADI standards are also available on request. The diving courses are conducted in small groups of a maximum of two students per instructor in order to guarantee stress-free and individual training.

      Living

      The small island has a total of 73 bungalows. In addition to the 49 beach bungalows, there are 24 water villas, which are built on stilts in the lagoon and have direct access to the sea. All bungalows and villas have a sea view and are equipped with a bathroom, shower, WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, fan, safe and telephone. WLAN is available free of charge in the lobby. Massages are available for a fee.
      Catering: A great diving island also needs good food - at Bathala, meals are all-inclusive and served in the buffet restaurant.

      Diving

      Bathala has one of the best diving areas in the Maldives and is particularly famous for its house reef. It can be dived almost all around and has a beautiful coral garden.
      Located in the influence of the outer reef, it offers plenty of big fish, drop offs and overhangs. Seven entrances with tank shuttles make for easy diving. The night dives on the house reef are not to be missed. Impressive encounters with gray and white tip reef sharks, stingrays and eagle rays are guaranteed.
      There are also around 30 different dive sites on the program. These include famous spots such as Fisch Head, Maaya Tila, Bathala Thila, Bathala Maaga Khan Til, Orimas and Lucky Rock. Fluo diving and scooter dives are also offered at Bathala.
