    Dive Center services:

This Dive Center meets the following specifications.

The German-run diving center Dive & Fun is located in the small village of Font de Sa Cala, approx. three kilometers south of Cala Ratjada, in the northeast of Mallorca. The small town can be reached from Palma airport in 50 minutes. The pretty bay is surrounded by lightly wooded rocky slopes and offers holidaymakers a relaxed bathing experience far away from mass tourism. The “Reserva de Llevant” nature reserve begins almost on the doorstep and stretches all the way up to the north-eastern tip of Cap Ferrutx.

    Living

Beach Club Font de Sa Cala****, Iberostar Pinos Park****, Na Taconera****, Roc Carolina****: The base is within walking distance of these hotels. Further accommodation, restaurants and stores can be found in neighboring Cala Ratjada, which can be reached in 5 minutes by car. The small, medieval town of Capdepera is also in the immediate vicinity and is definitely worth a visit. The base offers free transfers for guests staying in the surrounding area.

    Base

The base was newly renovated in 2018 and is located right next to the entrance of the Beach Club Font de Sa Cala hotel. It has modern facilities, hot showers, space for your own equipment, a dive store and a cozy corner for relaxing after diving. An air-conditioned training room is available for courses. Complete rental equipment, including for children, is available and is replaced with new equipment every two years. The base has two well-equipped diving boats, each of which can comfortably accommodate ten divers. The jetty is within walking distance of the base and the short journey times mean that even divers who are not seaworthy will have a lot of fun.

    Season: all year round

    Diving

In 2007, the area around Cala Ratjada was declared a "Reserva de Llevant" nature reserve for the protection and recovery of fish stocks. In the meantime, more than 900 different animal and plant species are once again native to the area, which naturally delights divers in particular. The various dive sites offer unforgettable dives for beginners and experienced divers alike. They lead through bizarre landscapes, tunnels and caves. For example, near the port of Cala Ratjada, a rock rises out of the water that divers call "cheese" because it is perforated underwater. Without a doubt, this is one of the top spots in the Mediterranean. The dive sites in the nature reserve extend as far as the popular "Cap Freu" with its two towers, which can be reached by boat in around 20 minutes. But there are also dive sites outside the nature reserve with promising names such as "Hexentanz" or "Diabolo", which are no less worth seeing and are equally exciting for beginners and "old hands" with their canyons and chimneys. Whether large groupers, schools of barracudas, playful amberjacks or small nudibranchs: you will find everything the Mediterranean has to offer.
Note: Trips to the island of Cabrera are not offered by the base itself, but can be organized.

    Education

Sound training is important, but it should also be fun. You will therefore only be trained by experienced diving instructors in accordance with international guidelines. If you have never been diving before, a trial dive is just the right introduction for you. After a short briefing, you go into the sea, you only have to breathe yourself. A guide accompanies you and shows you the most beautiful sides of the sea. If you are interested in learning to dive or taking further training, all options are open to you, from junior diver to diving instructor. The base also offers special courses and technical training after consultation.

    Further offers

Dive & Fun takes you on a discovery tour and shows you the most beautiful snorkeling spots away from the beaches. Untouched nature and curious sea creatures await you here. Or you can look for the entrance to the old pirate cave from the boat. After climbing over a few rocks, you climb down a ladder into the depths and explore an almost untouched stalactite cave in all its beauty. Experienced guides will show you the special features of this natural wonder.
