    Dive Center services:

    This Dive Center meets the following specifications.

    Four-star diver’s island with two wrecks on a spectacular house reef! At 900 by 500 meters, Filitheyo is not quite a small Maldives island and is located on the eastern outer reef of the North Nilandhe Atoll. It is the only tourist island in the atoll and, due to its solitary location, promises untouched dive sites with a fantastic variety of corals and large fish. The house reef, which can be dived on both sides, is spectacular. On the north side, it drops off to over 70 meters. There are also two wrecks. Both can be dived by divers of all levels and the transfer to the platform near the island is by seaplane and from there by boat to the island (approx. 45 minutes in total).

      Base

      The Werner Lau Diving Center has been specially designed to meet the wishes and needs of our guests and is equipped with the latest equipment. The center attaches great importance to diving training. The team continuously offers diving courses according to i.a.c. and SSI guidelines. PADI courses are also available on request. The diving courses are conducted in small groups of a maximum of two students per instructor. This guarantees stress-free and very individual diving training. Nitrox for free is also a matter of course at this Werner Lau diving center.

      Living

      Facilities: Comfortable complex with beach bungalows and water villas, open reception area, main restaurant with buffet (very good cuisine) and coffee bar, bar and sunset bar on the beach, swimming pool with terrace, souvenir store.
      Accommodation: superior rooms (double bungalows), deluxe rooms (single bungalows) or water villas. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably furnished, with semi-open bathroom, air conditioning, fan, hairdryer, minibar, satellite TV, telephone and safe. The deluxe rooms also offer a sitting area and bathtub. The water villas have a coffee/tea maker, Jacuzzi and terrace over the lagoon with a Maldivian swing.
      Catering: Half board, full board: buffet-style meals and all-inclusive.
      Sports/activities: Fitness room, table tennis, volleyball, billiards, fishing, canoes, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, massage lounge on the beach and spa.

      Diving

      Due to its solitary location, the island offers dive sites with a fantastic variety of corals and large fish.
      Boat dives: On the daily trips you have the choice of 35 dive sites, which are exclusively approached from Filitheyo. The boats head for reefs of varying difficulty to suit every diver. The abundance of fish is almost unbelievable.
      The house reef can be dived on both sides and offers an enormous amount of big fish. On the north side, it drops off to over 70 meters. Eight entrances with tank shuttles enable comfortable house reef diving. With this tank shuttle, the complete diving equipment is conveniently transported to the selected entrance and brought back to the dive center after the dive. There are two wrecks directly on the house reef that can be comfortably dived by divers of all levels.
